AFTERCARE.

Congratulations on your sunning new look! Please follow these instructions carefully as you heal.

It is EXTREMELY important that you keep up with the aftercare and follow these instructions to insure good healed results and protect your brows.

Your brows are healing so it is normal for them to be red, dark and feel hot/sore for the first couple of days. Your brows will start to scab over after the procedure and the peeling/flaking usually begins around day 5-14. DO NOT PEEL OFF FLAKES/SCABS OR SCRATCH YOUR BROWS. THIS WILL CAUSE SCARRING, LOSS OF PIGMENT, AND CAN ALSO RESULT IN HAIR LOSS. Let them come off on their own. When the scabs come off, it is normal that the pigment may be light/red/pink or almost seem completely gone. But don't worry, this is a normal part of the process!

As you continue to heal, the pigment will return to the surface of the skin in the next 3-4 weeks. Anything that does not return will be touched up at your 4-6 week appointment. This is also referred to as the perfecting appointment to address any asymmetry or changes you would like to make.

Day 1: Every hour until bed, gently splash your brow area with lukewarm water and gently pat dry to remove any lymph drainage (always wash your hands first). Before bed wash your brows gently with cleanser using your clean fingertips. Gently rinse the cleanser off with water. DO NOT SCUB OR USE A WASHCLOTH. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, air dry for a few minutes, then apply a very thin layer of aftercare.

Days 2 - 7: Preventing infection is very important. Wash your brows with cleanser 2x per day and apply a thin layer of aftercare 3x per day. If you run out of cleanser, you may replace it with Cetaphil Gentle Facial Cleanser.

For 1 week: No makeup or other facial products on your brows.

For 2 weeks: Avoid sweating, direct sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms, and immersion in bodies of water (hot tubs, public pools, lakes, oceans). Avoid sleeping on your face, facial massage, facial steaming, and saunas.

For 4-6 weeks: No Botox, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments on the face.
